WEDDING: Remle & Andy

Have you ever experienced something so beautiful you couldn't help but feel that someone giving your heart a little hug?  Just enough to make you warm up on the inside?  A touching movie, a thank you card, or a special memory preserved in a picture?  That is what I felt after meeting Remle & Andy, hearing their story of their lives together, and getting the opportunity to be apart of their wedding day.  That was just the icing on the cake, haha small wedding joke.  What an absolutely beautiful wedding, so full of love it made it super easy to capture those moments.

Every time I looked through the camera it was another shot, after shot, after shot.  So here is just a little bit of Remle & Andy's wedding day, I was so blessed to be a part of... I hope my images will bless you and display the hearts these two have for each other.  For Remle & Andy, I hope that in the future you can look through these pictures and may God give your hearts a little hug.  Enjoy...

ALL FOR A RAZOR...

You know that feeling you get as a kid on Christmas morning?  Racing down the stairs to see all the colorful wrapping paper engulfing gifts upon gifts stacked up underneath the Christmas tree.  It's the best feeling in the world, right?  The interesting thing is that as we get older that excitement tends to gradually decrease to a more subtle, sophisticated... "It's Christmas!" sort of expression.  Yesterday, I had a wonderfully relaxing evening, after my work out at the gym, I made it home to be pleasantly greeted by a friend of mine whom I  haven't seen in entirely to long of time.  Her, my sister, and myself went to Andy's ice cream, which was fantastic!  On the way home for some reason the topic of toiletries came up and how I needed to go to a store to buy a new razor, because my fascial hair was becoming strangely similar to one of the 12 apostles, hmmm.  Then all of a sudden my friend replies, "oh why don't you come over to my house we have boxes of razors."  Of course my reaction was, "ptsh okay why not?"  So we ended up driving over to her house and she took us up to a spare room and all of a sudden, it was Christmas morning all over again!  There were boxes full of men's and women's razors, and toothpaste.  The closet was over flowing with shampoos and skin care products, conditioner and body washes!  It was amazing, almost every toiletry item a man or woman can think of.  So we spent the next 30-45 minutes just rummaging through all the different brands and filling our grocery bags.  My only thought was, "Take that walgreens!  I'll never have to buy another razor again!"  I'm not going to lie I've never felt so stripped of my masculinity before as we all were laughing smelling all the different shampoos and hair products.  It was definitely a memorable experience, that I don't think I will ever forget.  Christmas comes twice this year  ;)

FASHION: Taryn

Every photographer knows what it's like to start out.  Trying to build your portfolio and searching for those willing people who will let you take their pictures, but you know models sometimes experience the same thing too.  Thankfully I had a great up and coming model to work with and it was such a blast!  She was so easy going and not shy at all so we were able to get some great shots!  Fashion world look out, and enjoy... presenting Taryn!

The shoot on the rocks was my favorite of the day, the lighting was just amazing and Taryn did such a great job just relaxing and hitting those more natural poses.

What a sunset... I really like this shot because I feel like Taryn is looking up into all the more blessings that God is placing for her in the sky, all she's got to do is reach for them.

Someone had a fashion shoot here?

Have you ever been to a location where you just didn't want to leave?  That is exactly how I felt at this location.  A few things you should know about me, 1) I love boats, really, hope to own one some day.  2) I love the ocean, honestly I think my favorite part about it, is the sound; so tranquil and relaxing, I can listen to it all day and all night.  3) I love sunsets, in the right location a sunset can change a persons soul.  So if you put all three of those things together, then I am set.  This was the location of a fantastic fashion shoot that I got to do helping an aspiring model begin her dream.  Thankfully I had the opportunity to do the shoot with a great model and now friend.  Find out who... coming soon, but for now just sit back, relax, and enjoy my paradise.

Candice & Ryan's pre-wedding shoot

I think every photographer awaits that opportunity to unleash.  I feel like this was just my beginning!  I've been waiting for the chance to take advantage of Hawaii's beauty mixed with a beautiful couple, almost the whole year, and God provides.  Of course, Candice & Ryan were so fantastic to ask me if I could do another shoot with them after their engagement pictures.  I was delightfully surprised, though after putting Ryan to bed on the drive home after their eSession what a trooper getting back on the horse for some more pictures.  But this time they were going to be in their wedding attire around the island, instead of just on the wedding day.  So I gladly jumped at the chance and accepted, I mean come on it's Hawaii... who wouldn't!?!  I tell you when I came down to meet them in the parking lot of my apartment and saw Candice in her wedding dress, my heart swelled with excitement and happiness, and Ryan what a stud!  Here are just a few of my favorite pictures of our beautiful pre-wedding session around the island of Oahu!  This couple made my job all the more wonderful.  I love when my couples become my friends and I hope they know that.  Love you guys! :)  Enjoy!
